And now for the Weekly Six to achieve 6 pack abs
1. Plan Meals for the Week
Planning is so vital to your success. It gives you direction and gives you a roadmap so you just follow it without thinking. Take an hour one day a week and plan your meals for the entire week (usually before going grocery shopping), and you will stay consistent much more often than if you decide to ‘wing it’ with your planning. If you fail to plan then plan to fail.
I was recently introduced to a systematic way to get more done in my business and not spend so much time in my business. The concept was called the Six Figure Six, and it worked like magic. I thought I would play with the name a little bit and call it the Six Pack Six.
I got so much more done and it opened up more time for me to work on other aspects of business that would be able to help more people than ever before.
It then dawned on me when I was talking with another Fitness Professional about the Six Figure Six and he had mentioned that it would be great to translate it over to our clients in the form of an action plan for fat loss!
To celebrate the upcoming New Year, and help you get motivated, we’re highlighting ideas for real moms who are getting in shape and making it work. Exercise has not only improved these women’s health, it’s been proven to relieve stress, fight colds and make you look and feel great!
After training moms for many years I hear the same things over and over again. Every Mom (and a lot of Dads too) I know can relate to this.
I sat down to eat with a friend recently who, each and every time (I’m serious…EVERY time) we get together, the conversation lapses into their struggles with weight management. I’ve been telling this person for years now that fat loss and weight management are not rocket science. They simply require some basic disciplines and consistently applied strategies.
“But Steve, you don’t understand how hard it is for me to do that. I DO work out, (verbal emphasis and tonality on the word “do”) it’s just that I love food SO much.” (Again, the same emphasis applied)
I am sitting at my desk writing this blog post to you on Tuesday evening. Wondering what I should actually write about, kind of crazy as I always have something to say 10 steps ahead of what I am saying.
So after pondering about it I am just going to stick with the theme as the "shut up and train."
"Holly, I am trying to resume Fit Yummy Mummy.
I go back to work (teaching) in 4 weeks after being off for a year (we get a year maternity in Canada).
I used to be very active at the gym (every day) I was fit and my eating habits were good. I could eat basically whatever I wanted because I worked out all the time. This second pregnancy was a hard one with me being on bed rest. I gained a lot of weight.
Now don’t get me wrong I have lost quite a bit since Fit Yummy Mummy but I am at a road block. I have the motivation, I have the desire and I try very hard to eat and work out.
I just need the energy
With 2 kids and a husband that has a busy schedule lately I need some help. Maybe you can suggest some things and energy boosters ecspecially now that its becoming colder where we live and my energy level goes down! I really want to get in shape." ~ Tina
What about all those Time Management strategies? You’ve tried carefully organizing your fitness goals, scheduling your workouts and listing out the priorities of your day all with the goal of getting more done in a shorter amount of time. So why does your workout keep getting put off?
